From April 2015 all General Practices are required under the General Medical Services Contract to allocate patients, including children, a named acccountable GP to all registered patients.  This GP is responsible for a patient's overall care.  The General Medical Services Contract sits with the Practice rather than individual GPs

All patients who register after 01.04.2015 will be informed of their named GP at the point of Registration.

If you were registered with Blackthorn Medical Centre before 01.04.2015 and were aged 75 or over you will have been notified in writing of your named accountable Gp.

The Practice allocated a named GP to each patient registered at Blackthorn Medical Centre.
