How to request a home visit
If you are not well enough to come to the surgery, please telephone your request for a home visit before 10.00 a.m. so that the doctor can plan his or her day. Your request for a home visit may be telephone-triaged by a GP to obtain more details or give immediate advice.
Bear in mind that you may not get the doctor of your choice for a home visit.
Please remember that home visiting is very time consuming for the doctor. In some cases it may be better to attend the surgery, e.g. a feverish child can be wrapped up, brought into the surgery and seen in a spare room quickly.
