Maternity
Most antenatal care is on a shared basis between the hospital, the GP of your choice and the practice midwife.
The GPs and midwife can provide full details of local services for antenatal education, delivery and postnatal care.
Health Visitor
Following restructuring of the Health Visiting Service we are waiting to be informed of our named Health Visitor for this Practice. The Health Visitor role is to support families and particularly children of the under-5 age group, providing advice and information on all aspects of family health, child care and development.
The Health Visiting Team can be contacted Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 03000 5550506 and you will be connected with the Duty Health Visitor.
If you do have any concerns about your child, please do not hesitate to ring the Health Visiting Team for help and advice.
Our nearest Well Baby Clinic is held at Westborough Childrens Centre, Greenway, Off Queens Road, Maidstone, ME16 8TL. This is a drop in clinic held each Wednesday 9.15am to 12pm.
Community Nurses
The Community Nursing Team based at Foster Street and provide a comprehensive and flexible service for our patients who are house-bound. They can be contacted on 01622 238925.
Multidisciplinary Care Team
The GPs at Blackthorn are supported by a wide range of additional clinicians who help to look after and support our most vulnerable patients. Regular MDT meetings are held to discuss those patients who require additional clinical input and care.
